Catharine Louise Hess (Caty Lou) is 73 years old and \u00a0began writing songs in March of 2012 \u00a0. Within a few short weeks she had written over 100 songs.<\/p>\n
Several months after that, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. That struggle increased her focus and creative output. A prolific songwriter who occasionally touches on brilliance, \u00a0she has a catalog of more than\u00a0five hundred songs at present.<\/p>\n
Catharine is seeking to connect\u00a0with musicians and songwriters, both inside and outside the music industry, in an effort to\u00a0develop her music and see it used widely.<\/p>\n
As part of this process, she\u00a0is taking music and voice lessons from Melissa Wickline and together they are working on arranging some of her songs to be recorded on a demo CD by Melissa\u2019s husband\u00a0Shannon<\/a>\u00a0(who, among other things, is keyboard player for Charlie Daniels).<\/p>\n She also performs her music in public whenever possible, usually acapella but sometimes with backing musicians. \u00a0She has performed at many smaller venues in Nashville, TN, Franklin, TN, and her hometown of Hohenwald, TN, including a benefit to raise money for another woman who was battling cancer.<\/p>\n If you have any questions, or are interested in collaborating, or recording or licensing her music or lyrics,\u00a0please use the contact form by clicking here<\/a>.
